Week 2 (MTC)

Howdy everyone, this week has been a roller coaster of things. I got to know my district really well, and I got to see some leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints this week, so that was really cool. Took some cool photos. if you would like to see them, you can use this link. https://photos.app.goo.gl/FixzDQJJyBNP5eaB8

I've had some unique experiences this week compared to other missionaries. Usually, missionaries arrive on wednesday and such, but because of the mission presidents getting their training, it's been quite a mess. There came some positives. We've got more and more fast food since last week. However, after the training for the new mission presidents was over on Tuesday. The food in the MTC got way worse. Still fine but man, that fast food was goooood.

We had some elders move out from our dorms, which allowed us to have a lot more space than before, so that was really nice. Sleep has been a struggle at times this week. I've fallen asleep way too many times during class and devotionals. Me and my companion and I have been getting pretty freaking good at ping pong, not the best in our district by any means. I learned how to play hacky sack, and I've been playing that a lot with my district, so that's been a lot of fun. The teachers here have been amazing, but the 3 hour classes can be really grueling at times. Played some volleyball that's been a blast. Church was amazing, and I really felt the spirit. There was a devotional this past week for all of the missionaries. Most of the 12 apostles were there along with a lot of the 70. The only apostles that weren't there were Elder Eyring and Elder Holland. Elder Kearon spoke during the devotional along with Sister Kearon. They both spoke with spirit, and I loved what they had to say, I was really loving Elder Kearons English accent. I got to say hi to Elder Gong for a bit, and I also got to meet a former member of the 70 who is now going to be a mission president in Nigeria. On Tuesday, we went to the temple. The ride there and back was 40 minutes each, and we had to stand up in a bus, so that was just amazing. But the MT Timpanogos was beautiful and was all worth it. I felt God's love for me and everyone. I know that if we stay by his side till the end, then we will be able to feel his everlasting love for us.

Proverbs 3: 5-6, "5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path." I know that if you put your trust in God, he will guide you throughout your day and that you will feel Gods love for you. I'm kinda running out of time to send this, so sorry for the lame ending. I hope you guys have a great week. Can't wait to see you guys next week.
